Tredecile is thrilled and very proud to announce yet another significant award win!

From 20 finalists Tredecile became the overall WINNER in the Automation category of STARTUP WORLD at AUTOMATICA 2016. Max Ruffo, Tredecile CEO comments, “We’ve received previous recognition and awards for innovating mobile robotics and drones, but this is a hugely important win since it so clearly demonstrates the impact of our sensors on the industrial automation sector”.

The award was made for Tredecile’s new approach to robot navigation and collision avoidance. Called TeraRanger Tower, the new solution provides simultaneous, multi-axis scanning to create a fast and lightweight alternative to traditional rotating LiDAR scanners. With no moving parts, zero noise and a competitive price it has many advantages – both hardware and software – that translate into reduced complexity and enhanced reliability. TeraRanger Tower is based on TeraRanger One, the fastest, smallest and lightest distance measurement sensor for advanced robotics, automation and drone use.

Greg Watts, Commercial Manager for Tredecile could barely contain his excitement. “It’s been amazing”, he declared. “At our booth we’ve been run off our feet all day, every day and have taken over 230 new leads! We’ve spoken with many of the largest players in the automation and robotics space and the response to our technology and solutions has been overwhelmingly positive. The message I am hearing is very clear; Tredecile is doing something very innovative with clear advantages that can support new applications. As a young company, this is invaluable feedback.”

AUTOMATICA is the largest international trade fair for automation and robotics, attracting around 45,000 visitors and over 800 exhibitors from 47 countries. Organised by AZO, STARTUP WORLD aims to showcase the most innovative new technologies from young organisations looking to address the automation and robotics markets. Thorsten Rudolph, CEO of AZO comments “Tredecile and its innovative solutions is exactly the sort of organisation we work so hard to find and bring to the attention of the automation and robotics community. Clearly that community has responded very well to the Tredecile value proposition and I am delighted AZO has been able to contribute to their story.”
